Many years of research on social-emotional learning, positive psychology, and the powerful effects of kindness and giving. Hands-on experience in schools and the community, with programs and projects to support people through a lens of kindness and caring. Advisory roles in local government and schools.

I believe that kindness is the glue that holds us all together. It has the power to heal old wounds and cement friendships. Positive relationships are essential for social, emotional, and mental wellness so I love to teach kids how to strengthen them. The majority of my resources are based on this principle.

My passion is to create awareness of the importance of incorporating SEL into every classroom curriculum to improve social, emotional, and mental health for students AND teachers. I spent many years in elementary classrooms working with students and small groups for specialized reading and writing intervention to assist less able students, as well as teaching basic digital skills in lower year levels. I was part several committees and organized fundraising and wellbeing events. My interactions with disadvantaged and troubled students fueled my interest in social and emotional development with a high emphasis on kindness. Extensive research and life experience gave me a passion for helping students understand how their emotions and resulting actions affect their relationships. Kindness and empathy are key to reducing bullying and exclusion to build happy, safe, and inclusive classroom communities.
