TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Greetings! I am an English teacher in the Greater Cleveland area. I have nearly 15 years experience teaching grades 9-12 at all different ability levels including struggling learners and advanced placement.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I utilize a variety of styles and methods in my classroom.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Outstanding Educator of the Year - award winner 2013 5-time "Roses for Teachers" award recipient (2009, 2011, 2013 x3) Senior Breakfast guest speaker 2009, 2011, 2017

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I began my studies as a zoology major at Ohio University. My journey eventually brought me to a degree in literature from Cleveland State University. I obtained my teaching credentials from John Carroll University and I secured my Master's degree from Walden University. In addition to my studies in literature, I also have a background in German and studied abroad at university in Berlin.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In my free time I enjoy reading, collecting space and science fiction memorabilia, running, camping, driving my 1977 MGB, vegetarian cooking, game playing (the board kind, not the video kind), and building models. I'm an avid fan of Shakespeare, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Sherlock Holmes. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two boys.
