TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching kindergarten for the last 13 years and absolutely love what I do! I also taught first grade and third grade, so my experience spreads throughout the early elementary grades. I am thankful for Teachers pay Teachers it has opened up a whole new world for me. I think I am an extremely creative person and I enjoy creating new and exciting ways to teach my students. I am always learning and truly love what I do. I hope I can share my ideas with everyone and help out all of the kindergarten and first grade teachers out there.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use a balanced literacy approach, following Teachers College Reading and Writing Project. I believe in learning through experience, so in my classroom I run learning centers every week in areas of reading, math, and word study.
