My motto in teaching is MOTIVATE, EDUCATE, DIFFERENTIATE. With close to 30 years in education, my passion has always been to create an environment where students enjoy learning and reach their highest potential. My community and students always embraced my love for teaching and supported my envision. I love to keep in touch with them and watch my students soar! I now work with teachers as a writing coach and create ROCKIN RESOURCES to reach students all over the world. My heart is happy.

I believe in teaching balanced literacy as well as meeting the needs of individual students. I make my lessons creative and motivational so that my students are excited to walk in my door each morning! I've been known a time or two to throw out a lesson for one that I came up with in the shower that morning or in a dream the night before. If I could make it more fun, then why not? Motivate-Educate-Differentiate!

I have two children of my own, but love on everyone else's children as well! My daughter graduated from the University of South Carolina majoring in Marketing and is now a member of Rockin Resource's Team! My son is a senior in high school and plays basketball and tennis. We have a cat named Giuseppe who we call Seppy and my daughter's kitty Luna. Needless to say, I keep busy! I can't forget my husband who often says, "It is time to turn off that mind!"
