TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my teaching career in 1989, which reflects my name Rockin Resources. I love the eighties hair bands! My students have grabbed my heart every day for the past 20 + years and my passion has always been to create an environment where they ENJOY learning! My community and students have always embraced my love for teaching and supported my creative ways to motivate students to reach their highest potential. I am never more proud than when a past student reaches out to tell me how much I inspired them in my classroom. That is success in my eyes!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in teaching balanced literacy as well as meeting the needs of individual students. I make my lessons creative and motivational so that my students are excited to walk in my door each morning! I've been known a time or two to throw out a lesson for one that I came up with in the shower that morning or in a dream the night before. If I could make it more fun, then why not? Motivate-Educate-Differentiate!
