I'm an educator in NC. I've taught Spanish to middle schoolers for 18 years.
I am a big fan of cooperative learning, singing songs, and using graphic organizers to help students learn and love Spanish. I develop activities that not only interest my students but go beyond rote practice.
I was awarded Teacher of the Year for my school in 2001 and my co-presenter and I were named "Best of FLANC" in 2011 for our presentation and we represented FLANC at the SCOTL conference in Atlanta. Our presentation was about getting students talking, moving, and excited about learning Spanish.
I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in K-12 Spanish Education.
I am a wife, mother and runner girl! I've run 41 half marathons, 7 marathons and 4 ultra marathons (30K, 43, 50 and 53 miles). I learned through running that our limits are only within our own minds.
