TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 9th year of teaching and could not imagine having another job! What other profession do I get to use my "creative juices" while teaching others to be creative and molding hearts and minds?!?! I have taught 4th grade,5th. and 6th grade (Math,, ELA, and Social Studies), and currently am a 4th grade teacher. I previously worked as a Title I Assistant prior to teaching. I hold a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Technology. I am also a single mom of a 9 year old son who I adore! I am very blessed to be his mom!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to bring in as much kinesthetic movement into my lessons, providing my students with movements to help remember important steps or to help connect to vocabulary and lessons. I also enjoy implementing technology whenever possible within lessons, as means of engaging my 21st century students, extending lessons, and meeting multiple learning styles within my classroom. I have used chromebooks, iPads, VR headsets, desktops, and laptops in my classroom!
