I started off teaching 2nd grade. I loved the younger ones and being able to incorporate so much creativity into my planning. I then moved to 5th grade, I was a little apprehensive about teaching the "older" kids. I ended up loving it, and can't imagine teaching another grade. They are full of personality, and they actually understand my jokes. :)
Teaching in a classroom with English Language Learners and students with Individualized Education Plans, I try my best to focus my teaching to small groups and hands on lessons.
