Hi, my name is Adrienne! I'm a former teacher turned homeschool mama from Oregon. I have been teaching for 10 years. I taught English and writing to international students a community college. I also was a private teacher for a homeschool family for a child with severe autism and helped write and adapt curriculum to suit his needs. I absolutely love what I do, and my biggest passion is finding creative ways to help children LOVE learning!
I think learning should be hands-on, playful, and FUN. Anything can be learned in a way that's exciting for children; we shouldn't have to feel like we're begging for their attention or motivation. I always try to shake off the "traditional" school mindset of just lectures, worksheets, and rote memorization and look for ways to PLAY with the exact same information instead.
