In my 16th year of teaching, I was in the classroom for 15 years, teaching grades two through five. I've taught all subjects, so it's difficult to choose a favorite. I've served on numerous district curriculum committees, written district assessments, and presented on professional development topics, including our state mathematics convention. I currently work part-time as a writing consultant in 4th grade classrooms, and full-time writing and creating curriculum resources to share with busy teachers.
I'm so into Whole Brain Teaching! I love its active, engaging style, and so do my students!
I've had the honor of developing and writing 4th grade science curriculum resources for the Dana Center, part of the University of Texas at Austin. I've also had the honor of serving as Fourth Grade Team Leader for many years.

The experience of which I'm most proud is being a wife and mother to four wonderful children!
