In my 16th year of teaching, I was in the classroom for 15 years, teaching grades two through five. I've taught all subjects, so it's difficult to choose a favorite. I've served on numerous district curriculum committees, written district assessments, and presented on professional development topics, including our state mathematics convention. I currently write and create curriculum resources to share with busy teachers.
Active, engaging, and hands-on. When kids love their activities, they love learning. Of course, activities must be completely focused on the learning target or standard.
I've had the honor of developing and writing 4th grade science curriculum resources for the Dana Center, part of the University of Texas at Austin. I've also had the honor of serving as Fourth Grade Team Leader for many years.

The experience of which I'm most proud is being a wife and mother to four wonderful children!
