TEACHING EXPERIENCE

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strive to establish a differentiated learning environment through experiential exercises while teaching to all of the different multiple intelligences. My students will bring the material to life, and be provided with options to help facilitate their understanding. In other words, we're not just reading the textbook and filling out worksheets. One thing I definitely understand is that each student learns differently. While some students learn best by reading a passage or designing a poster, others may make a better connection by rewriting the lyrics to a song or creating a skit. Each student will have plenty of opportunities to refine learning styles they excel in. But they will also be encouraged to step out of their comfort zone and attempt/improve skills that do not come as naturally. This will enable each of them to become better all around learners in every subject.
