TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have recently walked away from teaching after having taught science for over 20 years in public schools in California. I taught from middle school Integrated Science to high school AP Physics over the years. I have mentored several after school science clubs ranging from MESA to First Robotics. I have organized and led several professional developments as a teacher and as a consultant. I have also helped start an engineering academy within a school that focused on green technologies. Please contact me at rudyshaffer@hotmail.com if you have any questions or would like to discuss an aspect of a lesson I have posted on this site.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have always tried to provide positive, long lasting experiences for my students that allow them to construct their own meaning as much as possible.
