TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught high school science classes (Bio, Chemistry, Anatomy and Earth Science) for 7 years. 3 years ago, I also started teaching middle school science 50% of the time at a small rural 7-12 school. This year, I will be teaching middle school exclusively for the first time. I have also worked with a team at the district to develop elementary level NGSS material.

MY TEACHING STYLE

It is vital to provide adequate support and scaffolding for students who struggle with the curriculum. This is especially true in the Chemistry courses I teach. Many of the students come to my class without the relevant math skills.
