I am a fourth year teacher with the majority of my experience in 5th grade. I have taught both in a traditional elementary setting as well as in a classical education setting.
I have a very hands on teaching style. I love using cooperative grouping. I try to integrate my lessons, especially tying in social studies to ELA lessons. I also love project based learning...anything that gets the students up moving and creative!

I have four of my own kiddos ranging in age from 1 to 9. We live a very outdoor and active lifestyle! When I am not teaching, I am playing with my children, spending time with my husband and thinking of new ways to make my classroom fun and engaging. When I have a spare minute (which is rare!) you can usually find me with my nose in a book.
