This is my fourth year of teaching in North Carolina. I am living out my life long dream, and I am loving it! I taught two years in third grade and two years in second grade.
I like to get my students involved and excited about learning. If you were to walk into my classroom, you might see students talking to each other and moving around. I plan activities where the students will take an active part in their learning whether it is through discussion, movement, singing, using manipulatives, creating, or problem solving.
I was given the Promise Award in my county in 2011. This award is given to a promising first-year teacher each year.
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University.
