TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have enjoyed teaching for the last 42 years and am now enjoying retirement. I have taught mostly in second grade, but have taught grades 3-6, as well as finishing my career teaching 7-8th grade reading.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Over the years, I loved team-teaching in reading, science, & social studies. Learning centers were always integrated into my classroom as well as art & literature. I love creating Power point lessons, Smartboard lessons, and Kagan Cooperative Learning Activities. Helping and sharing ideas with a younger teacher led me to revisiting lessons I created. In doing so, I was encouraged to share them with a wider audience. This certainly has kept me involved with learning. What better way to share than on TPT!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My Reading Bud is my best friend and colleague, Helen Thompson. As 'The Reading Buddies' (but that name was already taken on TPT), we co-authored and published a teacher's resource book on how to incorporate literature circles: "Literature Circles: A Ready...Set...Teach Literature Circle Program for All Content Areas Grades 6 - 12". Check it out...it is at our store: Sandy Rudolph and Her Reading Bud.
