This is my 7th year teaching! I have taught Spanish in elementary and high school. I am currently teaching K-5th grade Spanish in a non-immersion program. I use the Comprehensible Input approach to language learning.
Fun, interactive, engaging, and highly personalized. I frequently use Brain Breaks. I base everything I do on Comprehensible Input.
2014 Classified Employee of the Year from the Parent Teacher Association of Indian Hills Elementary School. 2014 Excellence in Public Service Award given by the Hispanic Law Students Association, UALR Bowen School. 2014 El Latino Newspaper “Who’s Who” in the Hispanic Community in Arkansas. 2011 Above and Beyond Award at Indian Hills Elementary School. 2007 Participant in a Fulbright-Hays Group Project Abroad to Russia.
I am currently in the Middlebury College Spanish Masters Program. In 2016 I began the teacher preparation program at Tulane University. In 2009 I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a B.A. in Spanish and International Studies. I studied for a semester in Leon, Spain in my undergrad. I have travelled to 17 different countries.
