TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my twelfth year teaching in Minnesota. I teach English Learners (EL, ELL, ESL) and coordinate a sheltered social studies curriculum for English Learners. Currently, I teach students in grades K-5 EL, and collaborate and coordinate with our district's 9-12 high school programs to offer a sheltered social studies curriculum for English Learners. I hold teaching licenses in 5 -12 Social Studies and K-12 English as a Second Language.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to explore all subjects with English Learners in the four domains of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I want to see all of my students in grades K -12 developing skills as new English speakers using their own voices with opportunities to talk and write.
