TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an English and Theology teacher at a college prep school in Louisville, KY. My school has has developed a 1:1 program, so I incorporate lots of technology into my lessons. I teach a range of different levels, so my lessons are constantly evolving as I better understand the needs of my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

In my classroom, I engage my students and try to relate the information to their lives. My goal is for the students to retain the information I give them, not just memorize it. Through my carefully planned activities, I immerse students in the subject and give them something they will remember.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

My greatest honor is being allowed to teach. I love every minute of every day I teach. There is no better feeling than receiving a thank you note from a student expressing their gratitude for a class.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville with a degree in Secondary Education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love spending time with my students and learning from them. I am constantly finding new and better ways to teach, thanks in large part to input from my students.
