I have been in education now for 10 years! I was lucky enough to get a job in a private school right out of college, at the school in which I completed my student teaching. I taught kindergarten for one year and then took the opportunity to teach along side my mentor in 3rd grade and stayed there for 7 years. I was then promoted to the Curriculum Development Specialist position and worked under that title for 2 years. Most recently, I have decided to take a huge leap of faith and will be subbing and working as a per diem education consultant for a textbook company. Let's hope these roads lead to something full-time! Sometimes you've got to take a leap to land in the place you were meant to be!
I teach with the understanding that every child in my class is a treasure to someone else. Parents allow me to take care of their most precious gift each and everyday. I know how much I love and adore my 3 little boys and the kind of experience that I would want them to have once they start school. Therefore, I strive to do the same thing for each and every one of my students in all aspects of their educational journey :)

With this new and exciting change in my life, I will cherish the time that I will get to spend with my 3 wonderful and hilarious, little boys (ages 1, 3, and 4). My husband is a fire fighter and has to be one of the most supportive and loving people I have ever met. I am truly an extremely blessed... and BUSY mommy and wife! But, I will do anything to fit in time for ANYTHING education because it is a true passion of mine. Even if that means working with a cup of coffee by my side at midnight to a finally quiet house :)
