TEACHING EXPERIENCE

It's hard to imagine, but this year is my 12th year in Science education. I began as a middle school science teacher, team leader, and department chair. I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership and my administrative license in 2010. I am currently teaching Earth Systems Science to 11th graders two periods a day and am also the Secondary (6-12) Science Department Head for Brownsburg Community School Corporation. This role gives me the opportunity to provide teachers coaching & professional development and also gives me the opportunity to be in charge of our secondary Science curriculum.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in building relationships with my students, involving them in the learning process, and teaching in a way that is relevant to the real world and engages all students.
