TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am English, living in Denmark for the last 22 years. I have taught ESL (English as a second langauge) for 15 years in Denmark, ages 6-16, preparing the students for the national exams. I am a national moderator/censor for the written and spoken exams. I do teacher-training courses all over Denmark and in Europe, inspiring teachers to inspire children to want to learn. I have worked with the Ministry of Education in Denmark, to write the new curriculum for English education in schools.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My approach is very 'hands-on', meaning that I like to get my students active in whatever we are doing. Students of all ages learn best when they are stimulated in different ways, through the various learning styles, incorporating the language skills, and through their different intelligences. I involve a lot of Cooperative Learning activities in my teaching.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
