TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Preschool: 3 years 6th grade: 1 year

MY TEACHING STYLE

Student interest heavily dictates my instructional choices. I believe that if students are genuinely interested in a topic, this will increase critical thinking and improve problem solving skills. I love to implement various opportunities to apply knowledge-music, movement, art, portfolios, technology, collaboration, etc. As teachers, we should be prioritizing social interaction as a basis for learning. Students learn to appreciate the thoughts, ideas, and contributions of others. I focus on classroom community, respect, and responsibility!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduated from SUNY New Paltz with honors.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have received my B.S in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (B-6) and am currently perusing my Masters degree in Childhood Education (1-6).
