I have been teaching in an inner city school for five years. I have taught four years of English III , four years of Creative Writing, three years of ESL English, and this year I designed the curriculum for, and am teaching Film and Literature. This year I am teaching Film and Literature, and Creative Writing. (How lucky am I to have such fun classes to teach?) I took a hiatus from English III this year, but I still have a ton of materials for you to utilize. I am also the director of Student Council and will be sharing some of my most successful tips, tricks, and forms with you. Although some of my materials are specific to Film and Literature or Creative Writing, they can really be used for any English class.
This year has been one of my most rewarding years of teaching, and I say this honestly, 99% of my students are actually engaged. Over the summer, I had a baby, and while on maternity leave, (yes, I was actually thinking about school while I was off... after all, they are my kids too!) I took a lot of time to think about why my students were not enthusiastic about learning. I though about organization, time, materials, technology, my own attitude and enthusiasm. I could not quite pin point what it was, and so I decided it must be a big mess of the combination. I revamped my curriculum to each course that I teach and honestly it has changed the way I teach, and the way students respond. I am excited to share my student led activities with you to make your students excited again and, hopefully alleviate the stress of creating lessons and content for your class.

I know how stressful it is to have a sick kid, or be behind on your grading, or just be too tired that all you can bare to do is Netflix binge on Grey's Anatomy for 8 hours. #guilty. Take a look at my shop and take what you need to get you through. You are an amazing teacher. You are an amazing human BECAUSE you are a teacher.
