TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 3rd year of teaching, and my 2nd year in 4th grade at an elementary school in Birmingham, Alabama. I taught 3rd grade for one year at another school in Birmingham.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal as a teacher is to use research-based instruction that motivates students to develop a love of learning through activating prior knowledge and mastering content standards through inquiry based learning. I want to have purposeful planning that supports a student-centered classroom to highlight the importance of education and self-betterment. Through these goals I hope that my students will be able to have self-regulation, enjoy the process of overcoming problems, and are able to work together to create a respective and inquisitive classroom environment. I plan to use hands-on activities and interactive lessons to solve real-world projects and objectives. I genuinely care about students and I want to have a positive impact on their life while they are in my care. I believe that all kids deserve a chance and have potential to become great.
