TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello, Thank you for looking around! I am a former substitute teacher and tutor. I've worked with students of all ages, from kindergarten through college, on a wide array of subject matters, from the core academics to electives and honors courses. Substitutes need to be flexible, after all! I am currently homeschooling my 6th grade niece. Yes, she is my teacher's pet and ties with her older brother for being my all time favorite students!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a very hands on teacher. Yes, even as a sub. Whatever the students are doing, I am right there with them, be it running laps around the track or doing a quick free write. I find that students are more apt to follow the lead of a teacher who leads by example. I'm also big on projects and hands on activities. I find that these really help to engage students and increase knowledge retention.
