TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I work with a diverse population of students, featuring several learning tracks and a breadth of culture. This is my third year in middle school, and I have one full year of high school under my belt. With my current school, I am on one project-based learning (PBL) committee.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Embracing student creativity and allowing broader, identity-centered activities and scaffolds are my focus. Without a larger curriculum map to upload to this site, my page will most reflect my own flare for creativity by uploading short works of fiction that keep students engaged. These resources often feature dark humor and shock value, but in an age of increasing detachment to texts, I have found that students are most enthralled when humor, tension, and subversion are all at the forefront of the reading.
