TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the last 16 years, I have had the honor to work with at-risk students in low-performing (Title I, Priority) high schools. I have taught Language Arts at all four grade levels, and I also spent three years teaching Drama.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The students I teach need plenty of scaffolding and lessons that focus on the standards without a lot of extra fluff, so you will see a lot of that in my products. Ideally, I follow the "I do it, we do it, you do it" model. I try to have fun with my lessons, but I'm still trying to figure out how to make writing an essay as entertaining as Snapchat.
