Eleven years of high school science teaching experience in multiple subjects - Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General Science. A little of everything!
Keep it fresh, and keep getting better! I aim to make content meaningful and interesting for students, and I plan opportunities for every student's voice to be heard every single day. Activities in my classroom are varied and keep students thinking and moving. Providing students frequent, varied inquiry experiences is fundamental to me.
I enjoy serving as a mentor and coach in my district's Teacher Leadership program, and I have presented multiple times at the annual science teacher's conference in my state.

My husband is an environmental scientist. We are science nerds. :) We have two kids - ages 5 and 2. We enjoy biking, kayaking, running, cooking, and enjoying craft beers and wine.
