My experience includes three years of teaching middle school science. During this very short time, I have taught grades 6-8, honors, general education, beginner English language learners, and the ICT setting. I have also taught the NY Regents Earth Science curriculum and prepared students for the exams.
My students and I entertain each other everyday. I enjoy an approach to learning that reflects trends and ideas that middle schoolers can't resist: emojis, fidget spinners, glow sticks, and lots and lots of food.
I spent my childhood attending performing arts schools (middle and high). I then attended Rollins College, where I received my degrees in biology and dance. Following graduation, I enrolled in the NYC Teaching Fellows program, obtained my masters degree in education from Pace University, and began working in an urban title 1 school.
In my free time, I enjoy taking yoga classes and attending ballet performances, and getting inspired (and pinspired) by amazing teachers around the world!
