TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching middle school Science in an international school or national settings in Australia, Singapore, and Colombia. Lots of experience working with English Language Learners. I have taught Science in the IB-Middle Years Program (MYP), which emphasizes criteria based assessments and interdisciplinary learning.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Science at it's core is hands on. A hands on approach to science means performing experiments and conducting inquiry labs but also building knowledge by creating analogies, drawings, creative writing, and yes sometimes lecturing and worksheet to teach and reinforce new concepts.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Living, working, and studying internationally has become a way of life for me and my family. I have lived and taught in Australia, Singapore, and Colombia. It's not always easy but we really value the global perspective and the opportunity for our young girls to become fluent in a second language.
