TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since 2000 and have taught almost every science class offered.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to lecture and then do activities based on the lecture. Whenever possible, I like to add links to videos to show during lecture, to give students another perspective. Most of my assignments have been modified to make it easier to put them online (i.e. on Schoology). I have also taught in a co-teaching environment, so many assignments are geared towards special education students (or there are accommodated versions of assignments).

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I once received the "Major of the Week" award in my dorm in college. Appropriate since I've taught so many different subjects.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Graduated from Michigan State in 2000 with a BS in Earth Science. Earned a Masters of Science Education from Lawrence Technological University in 2003.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

HUGE geek. Love movies and comics and sports.
