TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Anatomy & Physiology and Environmental Science for over 10 years. I was also a science mentor working with hundreds teachers in multiple school districts for over 3 years. I currently work in school improvement.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style depends on the venue. In High school I used the rule of 30 where students were not required to sit for 30 minutes on any one task unless it was extremely engaging. In every lesson, I try to maximize AVK learning modalities, adherence to primary sources as best as possible, and engage students in authentic work that addresses national & state standards.
