I have been teaching in North Carolina for seven years. I have experiences in 7th and 8th grade math and science. I am currently teaching four sections of 8th grade science. We focus on chemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, ecology, hydrology, geology, evolution and energy.
I work to cater to a variety of learning styles within my classroom by targeting whole group instruction, group work, partner work and individual work. I utilize interactive notebooking, formative assessments, labs, projects, and summative assessments. I consider both Bloom's Revised Taxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligence's when planning lessons. I teach a variety of students from many different backgrounds, including those labeled as gifted or EC.
I am a North Carolina Teaching Fellow.
I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Middle School Math and Science, and a Master of Arts degree in Executive Leadership. I am a licensed School Administrator.
