TEACHING EXPERIENCE

As a science teacher for the last 3 years, and a graduate student in both the sciences and education for the 5 years prior to that, my main focus over the last decade has been a combination of both science and the art of teaching it. At the moment I teach Dual Credit AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Physics, and have taught both non-honors level chemistry and physics as well as pre-AP Chemistry. My main expertise lies within the field of chemistry - having attended a graduate program in this field for 2 years prior to switching focus over to a masters in teaching.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style at this point (primarily teaching AP classes) is that of preparing students for college while fostering a supporting environment. I encourage all students to constantly question what they think they know about scientific phenomena, and aim to have them learn how to answer their own questions.
