TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I became a teacher through Teach for America in 2014. I served my two years and am still teaching in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. I am the science teacher for a K-12 school, where I teach physical science, biology, chemistry, AP biology, and geometry. I have also taught environmental science in the past.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love project based learning, though I know the traditional note-taking lessons are also necessary. Kids don't remember worksheets and notes, they remember projects and laboratory experiments. The latter are far more costly, but I try to do them as often as possible.
