I have been teaching since "the earth cooled". My husband is a teacher as well, and together we have over 80 years of teaching in the elementary, middle school, high school and college areas. My focus is mathematics while my husband's is science. We never want to do anything else because we love it! My teaching style is hands-on and energetic while using diverse teaching strategies. I try to teach ordinary things in extraordinary ways.
For the last seven years I have taught at the college level working with "mathphobics" I have taught Math Methods, Science Methods, Developmental Math, and Algebraic Concepts as well as supervising student teachers and being a peer coach. I just began teaching a new class called "Conquering College" which is a three hour course. Students are always surprised that studying math is so different than studying for other subjects.
