I taught inner city students in grades 9-12 for five years and now teach 7th grade Ancient History, 8th grade U.S. History, and 7-12 Career Based Intervention at a school district in Beloit, Ohio.
Because I have a high number of students who learn in many different ways I like to plan my lessons with as much variety as possible. Within that variety, the main goals of my lessons are repeated so the students are exposed to them as many times as possible. Hands-on, in class projects, reading, videos, both watching and creating, are some of the things we do in my class.
The honor for me is having the opportunity to teach to young people.

I worked in industry and was not happy there. After attending community college for a couple of years, I decided to change my life. My wife and I moved to Ohio from Pennsylvania and I went back to school to become a teacher. It was the best decision that I have ever made.
