I have been a Pre-K teacher for over 13 years. I adore everything about teaching the little half-pints and I am always looking for new ways to spark their interests.
Learning while playing is the best way to understand concepts. Teaching through play is the best way to get our anxiety levels down and our attention gets wild and spikes! I absolute love creating helpful activities for my little learners. Some might think that worksheets are bad for a student, I would like to disagree. As long as a child performs different activities that help improve their writing readiness it's absolutely fine. Kids learn to follow directions, improve their hand-eye coordination and their self - esteem increases when completing each worksheet. As long as there is a balanced list of activities throughout the day and the child feels interested, it is absolutely fine to use worksheets and prepare a student for the "big school"
I am just a lucky gal, when I see kids smiling or laughing I give myself a pat in the back and I tell myself: "this is why"
