TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught for three years. My first two years of teaching was at a charter high school in which I taught: World Religions, English 11, English 12, Honors English 11, Honors English 12, United States History, American Government, Contemporary Issues, and Economics. This year I have been teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts at a charter K-8 school. I was an Administrative Assistant prior to teaching and I have also been an Athletic Director, a Board Member, and an Associated Student Body Co-Director. I have a passion for teaching, learning, and my students!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am definitely a huge proponent of Project Based Learning and the Socratic Method. The new adventure into middle school has also opened my eyes to cooperative learning, direct instruction, and interactive notebooks!!! I love bringing my students into instruction through questions, sharing ideas, and even giving wrong answers! I love learning and teaching :)
