TEACHING EXPERIENCE

In August of 2010 I began my teaching journey! Kindergarten captivated my teaching world for 4 years at two different charter schools. Both of these charter schools were in an economically disadvantaged, with 100% of students on free breakfast and lunch. These four years were the most challenging and rewarding years of my life! My time teaching Kindergarten shaped me into the teacher I am today. Before beginning my 5th year of teaching, I was blessed to receive a teaching position in my hometown teaching 2nd grade. This has allowed me to be close to my family and pursue my love of teaching.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is very student centered and focused on differentiation. In my classroom, I create a NGLE (Next Generation Learning Environment) by incorporating technology by utilizing Chromebooks 1:1 with students.
