TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching math for 30 years; 24 at the high school level and 6 at the middle school level. I believe in active engagement in the math classroom and strive to make activities that make math enjoyable to learn. I have been presenting workshops to math teachers since 2008. I have also taught college level math classes in the evenings for over 15 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use a lot of cooperative learning groups and strategies. Making math fun to learn is my goal everyday in my classroom. If I can get them to practice the math, I can get them "good" at the math.

I was elected "Teacher of the Year" TWICE by the students of Lago Vista Middle School.
