TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm an intervention specialist who has been teaching students with mild to moderate learning needs since 2015! I work at a career technical high school. I've taught nine different content areas throughout my teaching career, but teaching American Government has been one class I've taught consistently. For this reason, I've developed a passion for teaching social studies curriculum!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to provide content that aligns with teaching best practices and current research. I want to help you give all students an equal chance to master content using differentiation. I desire to empower others with the tools needed to provide individualized education and scaffolded instruction. My resources are appropriate for various settings, including curriculum presented on paper and digitally, general and special education classrooms, and co-taught and home school environments. I follow the Common Core standards in my classroom. I modify my curriculum due to the needs of my students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I'm a highly qualified teacher (HQT) in history and English. I completed my undergraduate program at Bowling Green State University, where I earned my undergraduate degree as an intervention specialist. I've also obtained my Masters of Education in Curriculum Design.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I'm an intervention specialist at the high school level, and I provide social studies instruction in the co-taught and special education classroom settings. I completed my undergraduate program at Bowling Green State University, where I earned my undergraduate degree as an intervention specialist. I've also obtained my Masters of Education in Curriculum Design.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I want to share the resources I've created for my classes because I know how difficult it can be to find quality materials. My goal is to reach all students with different abilities and learning needs while still providing an engaging and age-appropriate curriculum. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with questions, concerns, or suggestions!
