TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have just finished my 6th year of teacher special education at the middle school level. I love my job and have learned so much! I have both co-taught in the general education setting as well as had a resource/self-contained classroom with a focus on students with Autism. My classroom now has students focusing on daily living skills and functional academics, with many having complex communication needs. I hope these resources will help middle school and high school special education teachers! MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my undergraduate degree in special education (mild-moderate/cross categorical) and just finished my Master's degree with a specialization in Autism. I have enjoyed presenting at national and international conferences such as the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). I also serve in my school district as an autism consultant.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In my free time, I enjoy working in my garden, cooking (and eating!), or playing with my sweet Jack Russell Terrier, Mona.
