I am in my 27th year of teaching, and I still love it. I have taught the following: 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies; 9th and 10th grade standard and honors English; 11th grade standard, honors, and Advanced Placement English Language and Composition English; 12th grade standard English; college American Literature I and II.
My teaching style is hands-on and activity driven. I enjoy inventing different, innovative lessons that surprise my students. Students work in collaborative groups often and develop speaking and teamwork skills. Instruction should be rigorous, challenging, and fun.
