TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my tenth year of teaching high school Spanish. My focus is level III but I have also taught levels I and II.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My classes are more student-centered than teacher-centered and involve interactive lesson plans for my students. I like to incorporate group work and activities that provoke critical thinking from my students.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have been studying Spanish since high school, though my mother is from Colombia so it's always been a part of my life. After majoring in Hispanic Studies and Education in college I went on to teach high school and I haven't looked back since!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I thrive on creating new and exciting lesson plans for my high schoolers, not always an easy task with the target audience, but trial and error is the best editor. I count myself lucky that I get to continuously improve my work since I get to do it all over again each year. Bear with me as I continue to add worksheets, lesson plans, and activities to my store as I get to know the Teachers Pay Teachers community!
