Facilitating creative art's education has been a passion of mine for over 17 years. Witnessing thousands of amazing students grow and thrive through education has been a blessing. I've enjoyed teaching English, theatre, and other creative arts in traditional settings, through an Expeditionary Learning school, and in art studios and other venues around the world. It is my belief that all students have unique learning styles and gifts to share. As educators, it is our joy to unlock those gifts so kids can excel.
Different learners often require varied learning styles and theories. Some of my favorite include: Student Centered, Cooperative Learning, Inquiry Based Learning, Creative Art's Curriculum Development, Expeditionary Learning Model, and Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory.
Teacher of the Year, Rifle High School 2001, Who's Who Among American Teachers, Who's Who Among American Women, International Thespian Society, National Honor's Society, National Forensics League, and 5-Star Voice Actor.
Master of Education from Lesley University in 2003 (Creative Art's Curriculum Development). Bachelor of Fine Art from University of Utah in 1999 (Theatre and English Education). Associate in Science from College of Eastern Utah in 1996 (Theatre and English Education).
I've just published my first children's book, From A-Z: Animals Get Funky! This lyrical kid's program playfully illustrates creative dance moves that support health, confidence, inclusion, and unique expression. Keep an eye out for cross-curricular guides helping bring Anne Green Gilbert's Dance Concepts into your classroom. I've spent decades cultivating curriculum; studying and performing dance and theatre; entertaining and educating thousands of beautiful people; and honing my heart to a place of service. Now, I'd love to help you facilitate even more excellence in your classroom. www.animalsgetfunky.com www.followyourdelight.com https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCL0gtEs3iq-mBVywvYfRnIw https://www.facebook.com/groups/animalsgetfunky/
