TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 3 years! I have taught 1 year as a first grade teacher and 2 years as a second grade teacher. My two years as a second grade teacher, I have also been an ELD teacher. This means that all, or the majority of my students are second language learners, so we spend an extra chunk of time on English skills compared to the other second grade classrooms. Second grade is where I thrive, I love the curriculum, the age group, and the growth the kiddos go through during that year.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is very hands on. I like to teach kids a topic in several different ways until they get it. I love to use centers, work in small groups, and ensure that my kiddos are learning AND having fun!
