TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked with children since my first job in highschool. Since then I have been a special education tutor, taught pre-k, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade where I currently reside! Through it all, one thing has remained constant; my love for creating resources and lessons to inspire and excite my students!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is strict but fun. I think classroom management is super important, and in order for a classroom to run smoothly, management must be worked on from the beginning. I like to work with my students in groups and I create a lot of supplemental materials to enhance their learning and keep them engaged.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I don't have any official honors or awards, but (get ready for corny), I really feel honored when people want to use my creations in their own classrooms and I feel rewarded when I see my students learning! Silliness aside, I absolutely LOVE teaching and feel very lucky that I have a career that inspires me to be creative everyday!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelors in English from Uconn Masters and Connecticut certification in elementary education from Southern Connecticut State University

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I'm a 30 something year old teacher who is lucky enough to have a flair for all things creative. I believe that there is no reason to settle for anything that doesn't completely wow you, which is why I love to DIY things to my liking... and occasionally style my food before I eat it! I hope my products inspire others to express themselves creatively. There is something that I love so much about a person figuring out what they want and going for it, even if that only means spray painting something in a different color or asking for your home fries well done. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have an Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PrintPartyRepeat?ref=seller-platform-mcnav ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and a blog that will get more attention one of these days: http://dotdotdotellipsisrequired.blogspot.com/
