I have a dual licensure of special education and regular education. I have taught for a total of 4 years. My first year teaching I taught Pre-K Special Education for ages 3-5. Then, I moved to teach Kindergarten regular education class, but I include the students with special needs into my classroom. This is also known as the Inclusion class.
I am one who teaches with a hands-on approach in the classroom. Because I teach students with special needs, I keep my lessons fast-passed and hands-on as much as possible.
I have accomplished my Girl Scout Silver Award and Gold Award. I was a Girl Scout for 13 years. Now, I am a leader for a group of Daisies this year.
I attended UT at Chattanooga for my undergraduate program majoring in Elementary Education Pre-K through 3rd with Special Education. Currently, I am completing my Master's program through Bethel University and will be done in August 2013.
I am currently teaching Kindergarten in Clarksville, TN. This is my 4th year teaching, and I love it! I am always seeking new ways to teach my kiddos to keep with my hands-on approach. This fall, I am getting married :) Ryan and I are super excited about it!!
